City rides in Innsbruck
Official Innsbruck taxi tariff 2026
These fares are set by the authorities and apply to all taxi rides within the tariff zone of the city of Innsbruck.
- Base fare (day): €8.25 – once per ride, the first 1,000 m included (§ 3).
- Distance fare: €2.15 per kilometre – the meter advances by €0.20 every 93.02 m started (§ 4).
- Night tariff (weekdays 10 pm–6 am): base fare €10.50 – the distance fare stays the same (§ 6).
- Sundays and public holidays: base fare €10.50 – all day (§ 6).
- Waiting time: €45 per hour (€0.20 per 16 seconds) – counted automatically as soon as the taxi travels slower than 20.93 km/h, for example in a traffic jam or during a stop (§ 5).
- Guaranteed fixed price for electronic advance bookings: €8.80 base fare (first kilometre included) plus €2.80 per kilometre, billed in 20-cent steps (§§ 7–9). Calculated from the shortest drivable route and set before booking – the price does not change in traffic and becomes binding as soon as a taxi company accepts the order.
Legal basis: Regulation No. 132 of the Governor of Tyrol of 14 November 2025 (Innsbruck taxi tariff 2026), in force since 1 January 2026 – regulation text in the Austrian legal information system RIS (German).
